The body structure

The body structureEach of us has our own body structure, in particular, there is the gynoid shape that is typically feminine and the android shape that is typical masculine. In the first type, the pelvis is wider than the shoulders and the fat is concentrated in the thighs in order safeguard them for reproduction; in the second type, the shoulders are wider than the pelvis.

If fat is predominantly accumulated in the lower body, the risk of circulatory diseases (varicose veins, phlebitis, etc.) is not very high. However, if it is located in the area above the belt the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases and cancer increases because the fat is in and around the internal organs and muscles.
